DFM Remembers 40th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Moon Landing

Posted On: July 15, 2009 - 15:35 by Neutronboy
wechoosethemoon.org website

Digital Frontiers Media remembers the historic Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 1969. That moment stands forever as a testament to mankind's spirit, bravery and ingenuity--and to what it can accomplish when focused on a single goal.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo mission, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum has created wechoosethemoon.org, a unique online experience that recreates the mission in real-time, and we highly recommend it. Visitors can watch videos and learn interesting facts. If they'd had Twitter in 1969, this is how the launch would have been delivered and consumed--mission updates relayed using the social networking tool! And, as you await the heart-racing moments of liftoff, we invite you to take "one small step" of your own with our lunar lander game at digitalfrontiersmedia.com/beyond-apollo-lander-game.

Courier by Deep Thought Software

We were recently introduced to a product called Courier from Deep Thought Software, and we were so impressed with the product that we joined up with Deep Thought Software to become one of their Preferred Developers in sharing this great solution to e-commerce clients in need. Courier is a piece of middleware that automatically enters sales from one's website into one's QuickBooks accounting system. This saves the merchant from having to use web sales reports to manually enter them into their bookkeeping system or deal with cumbersome export and import procedures.

Drupal & UberCart

Posted On: January 20, 2009 - 12:30 by Stephen

Over the past 2 years, Digital Frontiers Media (DFM) has grown fonder and fonder of the Drupal Content Management System (CMS) and, more recently, the UberCart e-commerce module. We've introduced code that has been worked into some of Drupal's contributed modules; we've also provided some that has been committed into UberCart's core distribution. As a result of these experiences and building projects for clients using Drupal, DFM will be looking to start focusing even more on Drupal as one of our primary services in the future with a keen eye towards integration of multimedia into Drupal-powered sites and use of e-commerce tools such as UberCart.
