Big Smilies All Around! Smiling

DrupalCon is the official Drupal unconference that attracts the most talented open source developers and innovative web shops in the world and brings them together to share knowledge, make decisions on the future of Drupal, and get to know each other in person.

It's also the premiere opportunity for Drupal users to learn what they can do with Drupal, find partners for future projects, and meet the people behind the code.

2009 saw DFM turn almost exclusively to using and developing in Drupal. We love it! Indeed, it appears that Drupal took over the United States government in 2009! Last year, we attended with Deep Thought Software, makers of Courier--the e-commerce/QuickBooks middleware solution. We're still very much into that. But this year, we're also looking for inspiration for creative ways to leverage Drupal in Augmented Reality applications and information to help foster our ideas for iPhone and mobile application tie-ins.

DrupalCon has roughly doubled in size each year. Last year, 1400 official registrants showed up to share knowledge and insight across 106 planned sessions and probably just as many unplanned ones, as well. Registrants came from as far away as Australia to attend. So far this year, the tickets have only been available for purchase for 4 weeks and there are already 677 registered attendees!!

This year, we're hoping to meet up with some of our old Drupal friends (Ryan & Lyle of Ubercart, Josh & Peter of Deep Thought Software, Erik of RiffTrax, and John & Erik of CLoud NYNE Design), get to know our more recent Drupal friends better (Justin & Susan of McCormick & Winter), and make new Drupal friends (from scratch!). Smiling We hope to see YOU there!
